Beginner's Jewelry Wire ClaspStep 7:  For making the clasp, you will need to continue making your clasp wire component.  Our instructions for making this clasp can be found starting here.  When completed your clasp should appear as shown at left.  Please follow those steps and make your clasp wire component.Step 8 to 2 Strand Jewelry Wire & Beads Bracelet Jewelry Making Project

Step 8:  To complete the spacer bar wire component, you will need to cut the excess wire off the component using your flush cutter.  When this step is completed your wire component should appear as shown at left.

Step 9 to 2 Strand Jewelry Wire & Beads Bracelet Jewelry Making ProjectStep 9:  To finish the spacer bar wire component, you need to use your round nose pliers and convert each end loop on the wire component into an eye loop.  The technique for converting a "P" loop like these into an eye loop using round nose pliers can be found here.  Do this for all four of your spacer bar wire components.

Step 10 to 2 Strand Jewelry Wire & Beads Bracelet Jewelry Making ProjectStep 10:  Now we need to make the hook-end wire component.  Begin by cutting a segment of wire that is 2 1/2" long.  In this case, you can start working on this segment of wire by making a 1/2 loop because the loop will be cut off the finished piece.  After making the 1/2 loop, hold the wire by that 1/2 loop and straighten the wire.  Place your 1/2 loop of wire onto your jig, with the pegs as Step 11 to 2 Strand Jewelry Wire & Beads Bracelet Jewelry Making Projectshown at right.

Step 11:  Wrap the wire around peg 2 as shown at left.  It may be easier to accomplish this by removing peg 3 from your jig until the wire is in the position shown with no pressure applied to the Step 12 to 2 Strand Jewelry Wire & Beads Bracelet Jewelry Making Projectwire.

Step 12:  Wrap the wire around peg 3 as shown at right.  Again, it may be easier to accomplish this if you remove peg 4 until the wire rests in the position shown with no pressure applied.

These instructions continue on the next page.
