Step 13 to 2 Strand Wire & Beads Bracelet Jewelry Making Project long view

Step 13:  Now we need to remove the wire component from the jig and reorient it, then place it back on your jig in the position shown at right.  We do this step so that the wire that is wrapping around the two loops will be on the same side of the wire component.  Step 14 to 2 Strand Jewelry Wire & Beads Bracelet Jewelry Making Project

Step 14:  We finish using the jig to make this wire component by wrapping the wire around peg 2 as shown at left.  Push the wire until the wire rests in the position shown with no pressure applied.  It may be easier to accomplish this if you remove peg 1.

Step 15 to 2 Strand Jewelry Wire & Beads Bracelet Jewelry Making ProjectStep 15:  Remove the wire from your jig.  Your wire component should appear as shown at right.

Step 16 to 2 Strand Jewelry Wire & Beads Bracelet Jewelry Making ProjectStep 16:  At this point you need to add the clasp to the wire component.  You can use your bent chain nose pliers to open up the loops made on peg 3 and 4 to make it easier to get the clasp into the position shown at left.  Step 17 to 2 Strand Jewelry Wire & Beads Bracelet Jewelry Making Project

Step 17:  One at a time, grasp the end loops on this wire component with your bent chain nose pliers and hold the loop firmly.  Then using your thumb, push the wire up and over the wire component, essentially wrapping it 1/2 way around.  When you have completed this step, the wire component should appear as shown at right.  Step 18 to 2 Strand Jewelry Wire & Beads Bracelet Jewelry Making Project

Step 18:  Cut the excess wire about 1/8" from the start of the bend.  Once you have cut the excess wire, use one pair of bent chain nose pliers to grasp the loop on either end and a second pair of chain nose pliers to squeeze the cut end of the wire flat.  When you have completed both sides of the wire component, it should appear as shown at left.  This completes the hook-end component and you are now ready to add the 2 strands to the bracelet.
