Here are some final thoughts. First, please remember that Soft Flex is stainless steel wire and is not suitable for cutting with an economy jewelry wire flush cutter. Our Flush Cutter Soft Flex or any of our more expensive cutters will probably work fine for cutting Soft Flex. We do suggest that if you aren't certain whether your current cutter will successfully cut Soft Flex that you make a trial cut, with the Soft Flex as close to the hinge on your cutter as possible. If this trial cut does cause a problem, it will hopefully be in a location that you would not normally use otherwise. Second, when we made this bracelet, we wanted the end of the Soft Flex to be inside the first bead on either side. Unfortunately, the Swarovski Crystal Pearl Beads that we used could not accommodate this right out of the package. For this reason, we used a bead reamer to ream out four of the Crystal Pearl beads so that they could easily accommodate two thicknesses of Soft Flex. This isn't necessary, but it does make the bracelet slightly stronger. It took us about 4-5 minutes per bead to ream it out sufficiently. We hope you like our 2 Strand Jewelry Wire & Beads Bracelet. We had to make several before we discovered a design that we really liked. Hopefully, you will find alternative designs that you like as much or more using the same wire components and different combinations of beads. |
