![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() In this section we have shown several three tier earring jewelry making designs that used one of our round jigs like the WigJig Cyclops, Electra or Centaur. To this point we have not shown a three tier design that used a pattern from one of our square jigs. Developing a pattern that would accommodate three tiers on a square jig was not immediately obvious, but was something that we wanted to do, for the simple reason that this three tier earrings design is very popular. For the emerald earrings on the left we use 16 gauge 1/2 hard round wire. For the sapphire earrings above-right, we used 18 gauge 1/2 hard round wire. For a beginner or advanced beginner we would suggest using the 18 gauge wire. The supplies required for these earrings are one pair of ear wire findings, 20 inches of 18 gauge wire, 22 inches of 22 gauge wire, 20 four mm beads, 6 six mm beads, and 26 head pins. The finished earrings shown here are almost 4 inches from top to bottom. The earrings are made up of four wire components as shown at right. Our instructions for making these four wire components and for assembling the earrings begin on the following web page. |
