Top Wire Component for 3 Tier Earrings Jewelry Making ProjectWe will begin making these earrings by making the top wire component.  The steps involved in making this wire component follow.

Step 1:  Cut a piece of 18 gauge wire 2 1/2 inches long.

Step 2:  Using round nose pliers or step jaw pliers, make a loop in the end of this wire segment with the flush cut.

Step 4:  Position pegs 1 and 2 in your jig.  Place the initial loop on peg 1 and wrap the wire around peg 2.  Push the wire far enough that it will rest adjacent to the empty hole for peg 3 with no pressure applied.
