Dog Bone Chain Bracelet Pattern -- Jewelry Making ProjectThe peg pattern for making this dog bone chain is shown at right.  This pattern uses one regular metal peg (peg 1) and two 3/16" Super Pegs (peg 2 and 3).  Our steps for making this chain begin below:

Step 1:  Using nylon jaw pliers, straighten a segment of 22 gauge 1/2 hard wire 3 1/2" long.

Step 2:  Using your flush cutter, cut the segment of wire.

Step 3:  Using your fine step jaw pliers, make a 1/2 loop in one end of the wire.  You won't need to make a full loop because this loop will not be part of the finished wire component.  

Step 4:  Position peg 1 and 2 in your jig as shown below-left.  Place the loop in the end of your wire component on peg 1 as shown. 

Step 5:  Wrap the wire around peg 2 as shown below-center.   

Step 6:  Add peg 3 and wrap the wire around peg 3 as shown below-right.
