Step 16: Using your bent chain nose pliers, grip the wire
immediately above the end cone and hold the end cone tightly in position
on top of the beads. Bend the wire over 90 degrees as shown at left.
The distance between the end cone and the bend in the wire is determined
by the thickness of your pliers. Remember this thickness because you
will want to do the other end the same way.
Step 17: Just as you did in step 4, make a loop in the wire
with your round nose pliers. For this loop, since it will connect to
your clasp, you need to make a rather large loop, about 3/16" in
diameter. Please see the picture at
Step 18: Now slide one side of your clasp onto this loop.
Step 20: Perform steps 15 through 19 on the opposite end of your necklace with the other side of your magnetic clasp. When you have completed, put the necklace on and go find a mirror. At this point you are ready to admire your efforts. This same approach will apply to almost all bead stringing projects. |
