Comma Jewelry Wire Earrings -- Jewelry Making Project

Here is a glimpse into the creative process. While the instructions provided in pages 1 through 5 were nice, they weren't as nice as we wanted. We thought about these earrings for a couple of weeks and came up with some new designs that we like better. Here are the instructions for the earrings shown above. We will start with the earrings shown on the left. Step 1: Using your nylon jaw pliers, straighten a segment of 20 gauge soft wire 3.5 inches long. Step 2: Using your flush cutter, cut this segment of wire. Step 3: Using your fine step jaw pliers, or round nose pliers, make a loop in one end of the wire. Step 4: Place this initial loop on peg one in your pattern. Remove peg 14 initially. Step 5: Wrap the wire around pegs one through thirteen and push the wire until it is adjacent to the empty hole for peg 14 as shown below-right.
