If
you can make our Beaded Chandelier Earrings, you will be able to make
these Beaded Curtain Earrings. The process is very similar.
Begin making these earrings by cutting two 20 gauge wire segments, one 3"
and one 2 7/8" long. For your first attempt, use practice wire.
When you are ready for the finished product, 1/2 hard wire will work
better for making these earrings. As discussed in our
generic instructions for every jewelry
making project, make a loop in one end of each wire segment and
straighten the wire segment. There are two wire components that are connected to make these earrings. The first wire component that we will make is called the "V" shaped wire component.
Step 5: Position pegs 3, 4, and 5 in your jig and remove pegs 1 and 2. Place your initial loop on peg 5, the second loop on peg 4 and wrap your wire around peg 3 so that when your are done, the wire is adjacent to the hole for peg 2. Step 6: Remove peg 5 and add pegs 1 and 2 to your pattern.
Remove the wire from the jig and position the initial loop back on peg 1,
with the second loop on peg 2 and the third loop on peg 3. Wrap your
wire around peg 4 so that when you are done, it
Step 7: Add peg 5 to the pattern and wrap your wire around peg 5. When your have completed this wrap, remove the wire from the jig and it should appear as shown. |
