The first alternative design to discuss is the alternative of connecting the segments of chain with small wire components made with 22 gauge wire.  You can view this alternative design at right.  These wire components are made with just two pegs about 3/16" apart. 

The next alternatives that we need to show are the pattern for making these earrings on a square jig or a round jig instead of our WigJig Centaur that has both square and round.  First, the pattern for our WigJig Cyclops or Electra would be the same for the "V" shaped wire component, but the top wire component would need to be different on these round jigs.  This pattern is shown here.

The pattern for making these earrings on a Square jig, would be as shown in this picture.  For these earrings both the top and "V" shaped wire components would be different.  This pattern is very similar to our Chandelier Earring pattern. 

Another alternative to consider is to modify the top wire component.  These pictures show two styles of top wire component made on a WigJig Cyclops or Centaur.
