How to Make Cubic Zirconia Earrings Jewelry Making Technique -- Page 3

Please see the pictures at right for two views of our Ax Pendant CZs made into earrings using a figure 8 connector.  The steps to complete these earrings begin below.

Step 1:  Make two figure 8 connectors using 20 gauge soft wire.  These figure 8 connectors need to be slightly different than normal because the bottom loop of the figure 8 connector needs to be large so that it will fit into the Ax Pendant.  The top loop of the figure 8 connector needs to be smaller, so that it will be similar in size to the loop in your ear wire finding.  You can find our instructions for making figure 8 connectors here.   You can use the largest step in our fine step jaw pliers to make the initial loop in both figure 8 connectors.  The loop will be the correct size and both connectors will match. 

Step 2:  Open the larger loop of the figure 8 connector and connect it to the hole in the ax pendant CZ.  Once connected, close that loop. 

Step 3:   Open the top loop in the figure 8 connector and connect it to your ear wire finding.  Once connected, close that loop.  Follow steps 1, 2 and 3 for your second earring and you are done.
