This third technique for finishing an earring body is slightly more work
than the first two techniques, but I believe that the extra effort is well
worth it. This technique makes two simple wire components and
connects these two components to make an earring.
In the earrings shown below-right, we show two similar techniques for
making an earring body from two wire components. The peg pattern
shown far-right is the pattern for the earrings below on the far-right.

This technique for making earrings calls for converting the two loops in
the upper earring body wire component first into eye loops and then
rotating them 90 degrees so that they can easily connect to the bottom
wire component. Since this connection is similar to a hinge, the
motion of the "hinge" when worn adds to the interest in these earrings.
