Step B: Make 21 figure 8 connectors to connect the Flemish Spiral Wire components. Step C: Make a hook as described here. Step D: If you elect to wrap the Flemish Spiral Wire Components closed, wrap all but the last, small figure 8 connector closed. For the last, small Flemish Spiral Wire Component, connect the hook portion of the clasp to that component before wrapping it closed, then wrap it closed. Step F: Use the figure 8 connectors to connect the Flemish Spiral wire components together. Use three figure 8 connectors between each pair of wire components. When completed your bracelet should appear as shown below. You can add a guard chain to this bracelet if you want. To add the guard chain, use jump rings to connect 2 1/2 to 3 inches of chain to the small Flemish Spiral Wire components on either end.
Alternative Bracelet Designs: Our favorite bracelet alternative would be to make all the Flemish Spiral wire components out of 16 gauge wire. (We don't recommend this for beginners since it is more difficult to use 16 gauge wire.) Another alternative to consider is adding beads to the bracelet. Our goal in making this bracelet was to make a chain bracelet for every day wear and for this reason, we did not include beads. You could also add beads to the chain if you wanted to make the bracelet color coordinated with other jewelry you have. We hope you like our Flemish Spiral Jewelry Wire & Beads Earrings and our Flemish Spiral Jewelry Wire Bracelet. |
