| On the right we show two peg patterns for making these earrings. The pattern on the left is for a round jig like the Cyclops. The pattern on the right is for a square jig like the Delphi. |
|
| Step 1: Cut two pieces of 20 gauge wire each 2 1/2 inches long.
Make a loop in one end of this wire and straighten the wire. 1/2
hard wire will work better for these earrings although soft wire will
work.
Step 2: Place the initial loop from one wire segment on peg 1 and wrap the wire around peg 2. Add peg 3 and wrap the wire around peg 3. Step 3: Place the initial loop from the second wire segment on
peg 4 and wrap the wire around peg 5. Remove peg 4 and position pegs
6 and 7. Remove the wire from the jig and place the initial loop on
peg 7 with the second loop on peg 6. Now wrap the wire around peg 5.
Finally, add peg 4 and wrap the wire around peg 4. |
| Step 4: Remove the wire from the jig. At this point, the wire should appear as shown at right. |
|
| Step 5: Cut the excess wire from both pieces of wire and using your bent chain nose pliers, close the final loop. Your wire should appear as shown at right. |
