![]() Step 1: Cut two segments of soft 18 gauge wire, each 4 1/4" long. Step 2: Using your round nose pliers or your fine step jaw pliers, make a loop in the end of the wire with the flush cut.
Step 3: Using your nylon jaw pliers,
straighten the wire by repeatedly
pulling it
Step 4: Position regular metal peg 1 and 5/16" Super Peg 2 in
your jig as shown. Place your initial loop in one of the wire
segments on
Step 5: Add regular metal peg 3 to your pattern and bend the wire against peg 3 as shown at right.
Step 6: Add 5/16" Super Peg, peg 4 to the pattern and bend the wire around peg 4 as shown below-left.
Step 7: It is difficult to make the second (ending) loop around the initial peg, peg 1, because pegs 2 and 4 are in your way. It will probably take two steps to complete the final loop on peg 1 as shown, above-center. Step 8: Remove the heart shaped wire component from your jig and cut the excess wire. Close the final loop using your bent chain nose pliers. At this point your wire should appear as shown above-right. |
