Step 9: Remove the bottom wire component from your jig. It should appear as shown below-left. If it doesn't appear like this it may be that you did not push the wire until it was adjacent to the next hole in the pattern and then remove your grip on the wire. With half-hard wire the wire will spring back after being pushed and you need to push the wire until it remains adjacent to the next hole in the pattern with no pressure applied. If you have followed this step properly, your wire component should appear exactly as shown once you remove it from your jig. Step 10: Using your flush cutter, cut the excess wire and close the final loop using your bent chain nose pliers. Once completed, the bottom wire component should appear as shown below-center. Squeeze the wire component with your nylon jaw pliers to flatten it and harden the piece. Step 11: Now we are ready to make the two spacer bars that connect the bottom wire component to the jump ring that will be used to connect the wire component to the earring body. To make this spacer bar wire component, cut a segment of round wire 2 inches long. Make a loop in the end of the wire with the flush cut, then straighten the wire by holding the loop in the wire with one hand while pulling the wire through the jaws of your nylon jaw pliers. Once your wire is straight, place the loop in the wire on peg 6 in your jig and wrap the wire around peg 7 as shown below-right.
