Marcia's Earrings Jewelry Making Project

The first alternative design that we will discuss is the alternative shown at right.  These earrings replace the jump ring used to connect the small square wire component to the large square wire component with a medium square wire component.  The end result is that this third square wire component hangs naturally at a 90 degree angle to the other two Alternative Peg Pattern for Marcia's Earrings Jewelry Making Projectsquare wire components.  These earrings are made from the same two square wire components used in the prior pages.  The third square wire component is made using the patterns shown at left.  The square made using this pattern is intermediate in size, smaller than the larger square and larger than the smaller square made earlier.

The earrings are made by making the three square wire components using the steps that were described in pages 2 through 4.  When it is time to assemble these earrings, you use the new square wire component to connect the larger and smaller wire components made earlier instead of the jump ring.  The easiest way to make this connection is to open the loop on the middle sized square wire component and position both the larger and smaller wire components in this opened loop, then close that loop.  The ear wire finding is connected to the top of this earring by a modified figure 8 connector.  The bead in the center is connected to the Marcia's Earrings Jewelry Making Project Round Earring Alternativeloop in the smallest of the square wire components.

The second alternative to this design is a round alternative as shown at right.  This jewelry making project uses two Super Pegs to make the circular wire components.  The Super Pegs used are two of our three large round Super Pegs, one 5/8" and one 7/8".   Instructions for making these earrings begin in the following web page.
