Alternative Designs (Continued):

Now we need to make the bottom wire component for these chandelier earrings.  The finished wire component is shown at right.  The steps used to make this component are provided below:

Step 1:  Cut a segment of 18 or 20 gauge wire 3 inches long.  If you have a choice, use 1/2 hard wire.  Please select here for instructions on how to cut wire with a flush cutter. 

Step 2:  Make a loop in one end of this wire using your fine step jaw pliers or your round nose pliers.  Make the loop in the end of the wire with the flush cut.  Please visit here for instructions on how to make a loop.

Step 3:  Straighten this wire segment by holding the loop and repeatedly pulling the wire through the jaws of your nylon jaw pliers.  Please select here for instructions on how to straighten wire.  Step 4 to Making a Bottom Wire Component for Mod. Classic Jewelry Wire & Beads Earrings

Step 4:  Position two metal pegs in your jig as shown at right and place the initial loop in your wire on the top left loop and wrap the wire around the second peg.  Push the wire until it rests in the position shown with no pressure applied to the Step 5 to Mod Classic Jewelry Wire & Beads Earrings Jewelry Making Projectwire.

Step 5:  Now we are going to essentially flip the wire component over and add the third loop.  Remove the wire from your jig.  Position three metal pegs as shown at left.  Please the two loops in the wire component from step four on the top two pegs and wrap the wire around the bottom peg as shown.  Push the wire until it will rest in the position shown with no pressure applied.
