WigJig Ring Jewelry Making Project Step 9Step 9:  At this point you are ready to cut the excess wire and close the final loop with your bent chain nose pliers.  The wire component should appear as shown at right.

WigJig Ring Jewelry Making Project Step 10Step 10:  Now we are ready to wrap the wire around your ring mandrel.  This is done by hand.  Because the ring mandrel is tapered it is a good idea to wrap your wire component about 1/2 way around then remove it from your ring mandrel and re-insert it on the ring mandrel in the opposite orientation.  This will help to keep the bends consistent on both sides of the ring.  Bend the wire until the ends almost meet as shown at left.

WigJig Ring Jewelry Making Project Step 11Step 11:  Remove the wire from your ring mandrel and by hand insert the initial and final loops into the larger circle of wire made around the 1/4" Super Peg.  It will be easier to insert one loop at a time.  When both loops are in place the wire should appear as shown in the picture at WigJig Ring Jewelry Making Project Step 12right.

Step 12:  Now replace the wire onto your ring mandrel and squeeze it tightly against the ring mandrel by hand.  Remove from the mandrel and rWigJig Ring Jewelry Making Project Step 13eplace in the opposite orientation and squeeze again.

Step 13:  Now without removing the wire from your ring mandrel, we need to bend one of the loops over the loop of wire made around the Super Peg.  WigJig Ring Jewelry Making Project Step 14See the picture at right for how this should appear.

Step 14:  Remove the wire from the ring mandrel and replace it in the opposite orientation and bend the second loop over the circle of wire WigJig Ring Jewelry Making Project Step 15made around the Super Peg.  Your wire should appear as shown above-left.

Step 15:  Remove the wire from your ring mandrel and by hand press the two loops down and shape the wire.  You may need to use your bent chain nose pliers to help push the two loops down.  Try to avoid scratching the wire.
