Step
1: Cut a piece of 18 gauge wire 5 1/2 inches long. 1/2 hard
wire will work better if you have it.Step 2: Make a loop in the end of this wire with the flush cut. Step 3: Using your nylon jaw pliers grasp the loop in one hand and straighten the wire by pulling it through the jaws of your nylon jaw pliers. Step 4: Position pegs 1 and 2 in your WigJig Centaur as shown above-right. Place your initial loop on peg 1 and wrap the wire around peg 2 so that it rests adjacent to the hole for peg 3 with no pressure applied. Release your grip on the wire to confirm that it will stay in place. If it moves away from the hole for peg 3 when you release your grip, push it some more so that it stays in place. (A peg pattern for the WigJig Cyclops or Electra will be provided later.) Step 5: Position peg 3 in your jig as shown above-right. Wrap the wire around peg 3 so that it rests adjacent to the hole for peg 4 with no pressure applied. Step 6: Position peg 4 in your jig as shown above-right. Wrap the wire around peg 4 so that it rests adjacent to the hole for peg 5 with no pressure applied. Step 7: Position peg 5 in your jig as shown above-right. Wrap the wire around peg 5 so that it rests adjacent to the hole for peg 6 with no pressure applied. Step 8: Position peg 6 in your jig as shown above-right. Wrap the wire around peg 6 so that it rests adjacent to the hole for peg 7 with no pressure applied.
Step 9: Position peg 7 in your jig as shown above-right.
Wrap the wire completely around peg 7.
Step 10: Remove the wire from your jig and cut the excess wire. Close the loop made on peg 7 with your bent chain nose pliers. At this point your wire should appear as shown at left. |
