![]() Step 10: Cut a piece of 20 or 21 gauge wire 3 1/2 inches long. Step 11: Make a loop in the end of this wire with the flush cut. Step 12: Using your nylon jaw pliers grasp the loop in one hand and straighten the wire by pulling it through the jaws of your nylon jaw pliers. Step 13: Position pegs 8 and 9 in your jig as shown above-right. Thread six 6mm beads onto your wire segment. Place your initial loop on peg 8 and wrap the wire completely around peg 9. Step 14: Remove the wire from the jig and cut the excess wire. Close the loop in the wire made on peg 9 with your bent chain nose pliers.
Step 16: Now we need to combine these two wire components.
First open the loop on one end of the top wire component and thread this
end onto one end of the smile wire component. Then close the loop in
the top wire component. Step 17: To connect the opposite ends of these two wire components you will need to open the end loop on the smile wire component and open the loop on the top wire component. With the wire oriented as shown above-right, you will need to open the loop on the top wire component so that it is up. With both loops open, connect the two ends and close both loops. The combined piece will appear as shown at right. |
