![]() Step 18: With these two wire components connected we are ready to add the bead dangles to each loop in the smile wire component. Thread a 6mm bead and a round metal bead onto each of five head pins. The techniques for making a bead dangle are described here. Use that technique to hang a bead dangle from the loops made on pegs 2 through 6 in the smile wire component. Step 19: With your sixth head pin, make a bead dangle to hang from the middle of the beads in the top wire component. Use a six mm bead and a round metal 3mm bead like the bead dangles made in step 18. Step 20: Now we are ready to connect this Smile Yoke into your necklace. In the picture above, and in the Large Picture of this necklace, we used the Interchangeable Necklace approach. You can view how to make the catch connectors for this approach here. For the connectors shown above, a 3/16" Super Peg was used making a more delicate catch. The two catch connectors were connected to the Smile Yoke by a wrapped bead link. Each wrapped bead link was made using about 2 1/2 inches of 21 or 22 gauge wire, a six mm bead and two three mm round metal beads. The technique for completing the wrapped bead link is discussed here. When you have completed both wrapped bead links, this Smile Yoke Jewelry Making Project is completed. Connect the completed yoke to your Interchangeable necklace and you are done. The peg pattern for this yoke made on the WigJig Cyclops or Electra and a view of the finished necklace are shown on the following page. |
