Step 12 for Traveling Earring Stand Jewelry Making ProjectStep 12:  We need to bend the initial and final loops down so that they lay flat as shown at left.  The best way to do this is to insert your round nose or step jaw pliers into the loops, one at a time, and while holding the loop in the jaws of your pliers, use your fingers to bend the end of the wire down.

Step 13 for Traveling Earring Stand Jewelry Making ProjectStep 13:  Now we need to bend the end loops by 45 degrees.  This is done so that in the finished Bottom Wire Component, the two loops will lay flat one against the other.  For the top loop as shown above - left, bend the loop 45 degrees up as shown in the small picture on the right.  For the bottom loop, bend the wire 45 degrees down.  Perform this bend by grasping the loop in the jaws of your bent chain nose pliers held in your dominant hand and holding the wire adjacent to the loop in the fingers of your non-dominant hand then twisting the wire.

Step 14 Traveling Earring Jewelry Making Project. Step 14:  The Bottom Wire Component is completed by bending the beginning and ending wire segments together as shown at left.  This is done, one at a time, by grasping and holding the loop made on peg 2 with your bent chain nose pliers and pushing the wire 45 degrees.  In this case, it may be easier to hold the pliers in your non-dominant hand and push the wire with the fingers of your dominant hand.  When both sides have been bent, the finished Bottom Wire Component should appear as shown at left.
