Step 19 for Traveling Earring Stand Jewelry Making Project Side ViewStep 21:  Now we need to hold the Vertical Wire Component in the upright position that we want for displaying earrings.  While holding the Vertical component up with one hand, lean the 7" wire segment for the Hook component against the Vertical wire component and measure where you need to make the second loop in the Hook wire component.  Please note that the stand will be move stable if the Vertical Wire is not truly vertical, but bent slightly toward the front of the Hook Wire Component for Traveling Earring Stand Jewelry Making Project. stand as shown at right.

Step 22:  The final loop in the Hook Wire Component needs to be an "eye loop" that we will cut so that it is not totally closed.  You can see the finished loop at left.  You can make this eye loop using the Traveling Earring Stand Jewelry Making Project Front Viewtechnique shown here or the technique shown here.  When you have completed the eye loop, cut the wire so that the gap or opening in the loop is slightly smaller than the size of your wire. Step 22 for Traveling Earring Stand Jewelry Making Project Ideally, when hooking the Hook Wire Component to the top of the Vertical Wire Component, the connection should snap into position with a small amount of force.  This will keep the stand connected in the upright position should someone decide to pick up your traveling earring stand.

Step 23:  The last step in making this stand is to make hooks for your stand so that you can hang post type earrings.  These hooks are made using the technique discussed in step 12 - 14 on page 3 of these instructions

This completes the Traveling Earring Stand Jewelry Making Project.  Hopefully, this will help you to display your jewelry at shows.  On the following page we will provide instructions for making a bead/earring/bracelet stand.
