Tiered Teardeop Earrings Jewelry Making Project with Swarovski BeadsTiered Teardrop Earrings Jewelry Making Project made with Swarovski BeadsWe have to make two wire components to complete this earring design.  The first component we will make is the lower tier wire component.  Once that component is completed, then we will make the raindrop wire component.

Step 1:  Cut a segment of 16, 18 or 20 gauge wire 41/4" long.

Step 2:  Make a loop in one end of this wire segment.

Step 3:  Grasp the loop and repeatedly pull the wire through the jaws of your nylon jaw pliers to straighten the wire.

Lower Tier Wire Component for Tiered Raindrop Earrings Jewelry Making ProjectStep 4:  The peg pattern for making the lower tier wire component is shown at right for our WigJig Cyclops, Centaur or Electra.  See the bottom of page 5 for the peg pattern on our WigJig Olympus, Olympus Lite or Delphi.  Begin by positioning pegs 1 and 2 in your jig.  Place your initial loop on peg 1 and wrap the wire around peg 2.  Push the wire beyond the position for peg 3 so that when you remove your grip from the wire, the wire will remain adjacent to the empty hole for peg 3 with no pressure applied.

Step 5:  Add peg 3 to your pattern and wrap your wire around peg 3 so that with no pressure applied the wire will rest adjacent to the empty hole for peg 4 with no pressure applied.

Step 6:  Add peg 4 to your pattern and wrap your wire around peg 4 so that with no pressure applied the wire will rest adjacent to the empty hole for peg 5 with no pressure applied.

Step 7:  Add peg 5 to your pattern and wrap the wire around peg 5 so that with no pressure applied the wire will rest adjacent to the empty hole for peg 6 with no pressure applied.

Step 8:  Add peg 6 to your pattern and warp the wire around peg 6 so that with no pressure applied the wire will rest adjacent to the empty hole for peg 7 with no pressure applied.

Step 9:  Add peg 7 to your pattern and wrap the wire around peg 7.
