This toggle clasp finding is an advanced beginner's jewelry making project.  It isn't very difficult, but is not appropriate for someone just beginning.  This clasp is appropriate to use for a necklace.

The clasp as shown was made using colored Artistic Wire.  It could also have been made of sterling silver or gold, or gold-filled wire.  Many people using Artistic Wire for making necklace components want findings to match the wire in the necklace.  With colored wire it is currently not possible to purchase findings in the available colors, so we need to be able to make our own colored findings.
