Step 1:  Cut and straighten a 4 and 5 inch segment of 20 gauge wire.  Either 1/2 hard or soft wire will work although 1/2 hard may be slightly easier to work with.

Step 2:  Make a loop in one end of both segments of wire.

Step 3:  Position five metal pegs and one 1/2 inch Super Peg on your jig as shown at right.  This pattern is shown on the WigJig Delphi, but a similar pattern would work on any jig.

Step 4:  Place the initial loop from the 4 inch wire segment on peg 1 and wrap the wire around the Super Peg, peg 2, as shown.  Finish by wrapping the wire around peg 1.

Step 5:  Remove the wire from the jig.  Using your Fine Step Jaw Pliers, place the initial and final loops made around peg 1 onto the stepped jaw of the pliers.  While holding the wire component in the Step Jaw Pliers in your non-dominant hand, wrap the wire tail around about twice as shown at right.

Step 6:  Cut the excess wire and using bent chain nose pliers, slightly squeeze the cut wire tail so that it rest flat.

Step 7:  Finish the loop portion of this clasp by grasping the loop at its middle with your bent chain nose pliers and bending it about 30 degrees.  See the picture above for how the finished loop should appear.
