| Step 8: Remove the wire from your jig. |
| Step 9: Grasp the wire with your bent chain nose pliers about 1/4" from the beginning loop and bend the wire up so that the loop is above the center of the wire component as shown at right. |
Step 10: Now grasp the bottom of the wire component with your bent
chain nose pliers at the point where the bend around the larger Super Peg
ends and bend the wire vertical as shown. The wire needs to be
adjacent to the bend that you made in Step 9. See the picture at right
for how this should appear. |
Step 11: Now we need to add our beads to the vertical wire tail.
In the finished earrings shown at right you can see that we added one 2.5 or
3mm round metal bead followed by an 8mm bead then another 2.5 or 3mm bead.
Above the wire we add another 8mm bead. At this point we need to
position the beads on the wire, but we will not do the wrap the locks the
beads in position yet. |
| Step 12: In order to make wrapping the wire tail from the bottom around the top wire segment a little easier we will use our pliers to begin the wrap. The first step to accomplish this is to grab the vertical wire segment from the bottom at the point where we want the wrap to begin and bend the wire 90 degrees. See the the picture at right. In this picture you are looking at the edge of the wire component from Step 10. |
