Triangle Jewelry Wire & Beads Earrings Jewelry Making ProjectAlternative Designs:

Alternative Design For Triangle Jewelry Wire & Beads Earrings Jewelry Making ProjectWe have four alternative designs that we will discuss.  The first design alternative uses the exact same peg pattern as the earrings we discussed, but instead of having the loops point inward toward the inside of the triangle, in this alternative we have the loops pointing toward the outside of the triangle.  If you view the picture at right, you can view how the body of these earrings would appear, without the bead dangles.  At the bottom of the earring body, you can see that the three loops in the triangular wire component shown here point away from the inside of the triangle.  This alternative is slightly different from the alternative that we just discussed and it makes a very nice pair of chandelier earrings.

Our second alternative is not shown, but it involves making a bend in the wire at peg 2 in the pattern, but not wrapping the wire completely around the peg.  These earrings would not have a loop at the bottom of the triangular wire component but would have a 90 degree bend in the wire.  Other than this modification, the earrings would be made in exactly the same manner.

Our third alternative design is to make the earrings in the same manner, but to change the length of the spacer bar wire components.  In the earrings we discussed in the prior pages, we had spacer bars that were essentially 1 inch long.  The spacer bar could easily be configured as short as 3/4 inch or as long as 1 1/2 to 2 inches long.  The resulting earrings would look very different based upon the changes in the length of the spacer bar.

Our fourth and final alternative is that the earrings could be made in the same manner, but the bead dangles could be made differently.  We used five relatively small beads to make our bead dangles.  You could make bead dangles where the bottom bead was a 6mm bead and the rest of the beads were the same.  The resulting earrings would be very nice but they would be slightly bolder in that configuration.  There are many, many other combinations of beads that could be used to replace the bead dangles shown here.  This is where you the reader can get creative.

Our goal was to make an interesting and attractive pair of earrings using instructions that a beginner to making jewelry could easily follow.  Hopefully, we have succeeded.
