Step 1: Using your Flush Cutter cut two segments of 20 gauge wire, one 2 3/4" long and one 2" long. Step 2: Using your round nose pliers, or preferably your fine step jaw pliers, make a loop in the end of each wire segment with the flat cut. The loop should be the size of the peg in your jig. Please visit here if you have any questions about which end of the wire to use. Please visit here for instructions in how to make a loop using our fine step jaw pliers. Step 3: Holding a wire segment by the loop you just made, straighten the wire by pulling it repeatedly through the jaws of your nylon jaw pliers. Do this for both wire segments. Step 5: Now wrap the wire around the peg as shown at left.
Push the wire until it will remain in the position shown with no
pressure applied. This will require you to push the wire slightly
beyond its final position and allow it to relax back into this position
by removing your grip from the wire.
Step 6: We finish our use of the jig by wrapping the wire around peg 1 or 3 as shown at right. Try to wrap the wire tightly around the peg.
