Step 7:  Now wrap the wire counter-clockwise around peg 2 as shown at right.  Step 8 to Jewelry Wire Clasp Jewelry Making Technique

 

Step 8:  Remove the wire from your jig and it should appear as shown at left.

Step 9:
  At this point we need to rotate the two loops made around peg 2 each 90 degrees but in the opposite directions.  This is a two step process.  We start by rotating the last loop made on peg 2 by 90 degrees as shown at right.

Step 10:
  We complete rotating the two loops made on peg 2 by 90 degrees by rotating the initial loop made on peg 2 by 90 degrees.  One of these loops will have been rotated clockwise 90 degrees and the other loop will have been rotated counter-clockwise 90 degrees.  The final result appear as shown at left.  Your goal is that when you are finished the shorter, initial segment of wire will be in the middle, between the twoStep 11 to Jewelry Wire Clasp Jewelry Making Technique loops.

Step 11:  Using your flush cutter, cut the starting loop off your wire, leaving about 3/16" of wire as shown at right.
