Step 18:  To make the catch portion of this clasp, we need to start by cutting a 3" segment of 20 gauge wire. 

Step 19:  Make a loop in your wire using your fine step jaw pliers.  The loop needs to be the size of the peg for your jig.

Step 20:  Grasp the wire by the loop you just made and straighten the wire by repeatedly pulling it through the jaws of your nylon jaw pliers. 

Step 21:  Position one regular metal peg (peg 1) and a 3/16" Super Peg, peg 2 in your jig as shown at right.  Place your initial loop in your wire on peg 1 and position the wire as shown. 
 

Step 22:  Wrap your wire around peg 2 and continue pushing the wire until with no pressure applied, it rests adjacent to peg 1 as shown at left. 

Step 23:  Now wrap your wire tightly around peg 1 as shown at right. 

Step 24:  Remove your wire from the jig.  At this point your wire should appear as shown at left. 
 

Step 25:  Place the round jaw of your fine step jaw pliers in the two loops from peg 1 and grasp the wire component tightly.  While holding the wire this way, wrap the wire tail about the wire component two times as shown at right.
