Wire Wrapped Chain Bracelet with Beads Jewelry Making ProjectThis chain is very similar to the first chain and may be easier to make for many people.  It does not use wrapping of wire around itself.  If you had difficulty in making the prior chain, perhaps you will find this chain easier to make.Step 7 to New Wire Wrapped Chain Jewelry Making Project

The first eight steps in making this chain are identical to the first 8 Step 8 to New Wire Wrapped Chain Jewelry Making Projectsteps in the prior chain with one exception.  Instead of using 2 1/4" of 22 gauge wire, use 2" of 22 gauge wire.  To make the chain show, follow steps 1 through 7 until you have 8 segments of wire that appear as shown at left.  Then take one segment and using your round nose pliers make a loop in the end of the wire as shown at right.

Step 9 to New Wire Wrapped Chain Jewelry Making ProjectNew Chain Step 9:  Using your flush cutter, cut the excess wire as shown here.

Step 10 to New Wire Wrapped Chain Jewelry Making ProjectNew Chain Step 10:  Using your bent chain nose pliers, close the final loop where you just cut Step 11 to New Wire Wrapped Chain Jewelry Making Projectthe wire.  Instructions for closing loops can be found here.

New Chain Step 11:  Grasp the middle of the wire segment in the middle step of your step jaw pliers as shown at right.  In the step we are going to make the "U" shaped bend for the initial loop in our chain.  Push both loops up Step 12 to New Wire Wrapped Chain Jewelry Making Projectuntil they meet and overlap.

New Chain Step 12:  In order to help get these two loops perfectly overlapped, position both loops on your step jaw pliers and squeeze the two loops together as shown at left.

Step 13 to New Wire Wrapped Chain Jewelry Making ProjectNew Chain Step 13:  Remove the chain from your step jaw pliers.  At this point your initial loop in your chain should appear as shown at right.
