Jewelry Making Techniques
Jewelry Making -- Spiral-Diamond EarringsThis jewelry making project incorporates two jewelry wire components in the
body of these earrings. The
first is the spiral with 1/2 of a diamond component at the bottom and the
second is the wire bead link to connect the spiral-diamond to the ear wire
finding. Once you have the necessary jewelry supplies, here are the steps in making these earrings: |

| Step 1: Cut and straighten a 4 inch piece of 20G jewelry wire. Step 2: Make a loop in one end of the wire. Place three metal pegs in a WigJig Delphi as shown below, left and position the loop in the wire over the bottom peg as shown. Step 3, 4 and 5: Wrap the wire around the right most peg, then remove the wire from the jig and place it back on in a mirror image position. Now wrap the wire around the right most peg again. Step 6, 7, 8 and 9: Remove the wire from the jig. Add two pegs to your jig and replace the wire as shown in the picture for Step 6. Now wrap the wire around the right most peg. Remove the wire from the jig and place it back on in a mirror image position. Now wrap the wire around the right most peg again. |
