| The Four Leaf Clover Wire Component, shown at right, is one of the easier wire links to make. It involves only four pegs on a jig and just wrapping the wire around the pegs in turn. The only thing important about making this piece is to wrap around the pegs in the proper sequence. While the sequence might not seem important, it is for the reason that we want to incorporate this piece in a beaded chain so that the chain will not come apart. The piece is made up of two open loops (the first and last loops made) and two closed loops (the second and third loops made.) I have determined the order of wrapping the loops so that the two closed loops oppose one another. These are the two loops that we use in making our chain. |

Step 1: Position four
metal pegs in your jig as shown in Step 1, above right. This pattern
will work for the WigJig Olympus, Olympus-Lite or Delphi. For the
Cyclops or Electra, position your 4 pegs at the 000, 090, 180, and 270
degree points on the innermost circle.
Step 2: Cut a piece of 18G wire about 2 inches long, make a "P" loop in the end of the wire and straighten the wire. The "P" loop that you make must be large enough to fit over the peg for the jig you are using. Step 3: Place the initial loop over peg 1 with the wire tail resting between pegs 2 and 4, as shown at right. |
