Alternative Design:  Shown at right is an enlarged view of an alternative way to make the clover component.  This component is different from the design made previously in that there are only two thicknesses of wire instead of the three that are in our prior design.  This component is also smaller than the clover made previously because we use the pattern on the diagonal of the WigJig Delphi instead of the horizontal/vertical.

The peg pattern for making this component is shown at right.  The techniques for making this component are the same as for the prior piece with one exception.  In order to get the piece down to two layers of wire instead of three, we need to modify steps 5 and 6.  Before performing step 5 (see page 3), remove the wire from the jig and flip it on the vertical axis.  Replace the wire on the jig with the original loop still on peg 1 and the second loop on peg 3 instead of peg 2.  Now complete the loop on peg two, followed by the loop on peg 4.  When completed, remove the wire from the jig and cut the wire tail off as shown in Step 7.  Squeeze the piece with nylon jaw pliers as described in Step 8.  The completed piece will appear as shown above right.  Finish the bracelet as described in Steps 10 and 11 previously.  The finished bracelet will appear as shown below.

Clover Bracelet made with seven 8mm Chinese Jade Beads

The bracelet shown above and at right are made with 8mm jade beads instead of the 6mm beads used previously.  In order to accommodate the larger size of these beads and have a finished bracelet about 7 1/2 inches long, I had to connect the seventh and eighth clover wire components to the magnetic clasp that I used via a wrapped bead link with a 3mm round gold-filled bead instead of the larger jade beads.  The finished bracelet can be seen at right.
