Step 16: Add three bead dangles to the bottom of the wire component. One bead dangle in the loop made around Peg 4, one in the loop made around Peg 6, and one at the bend made at Peg 5. Step 17: This earring is completed when you add your ear wire finding to the initial loop in the wire component that we made. This is accomplished by opening the loop in the ear wire finding, sliding the loop in the wire component into the open loop and then closing the loop in the ear wire finding. The finding that was used in the earring at right is a post style finding with a 4mm ball and a loop for adding the earring body that we made. A post style earring body was chosen because it is less likely to come off during wearing. The secret to making this earring is the same as the secret for how you get to Carnegie Hall. Practice, Practice, and Practice. Remember that the first several will not come out as you want them to and that after making 3 or 4 practice pieces it should be pretty easy to make a pair of identical earrings with your good wire and beads. |
