Index                      Wire Chandelier Earrings with Beads Jewelry Making Project

In the earrings shown at right, the finished earring was "decorated" by wrapping fine gauge wire to in effect glue or solder some components in place.  This technique is slightly more advanced and is not required to finish these earrings.   

The instructions on pages 2 through 6 show how to make these earrings on the WigJig Cyclops.  The pattern for these earrings on the WigJig Delphi or Olympus/Olympus-Lite is shown on page 7.

   
Emerald Chandelier Earrings

        Jewelry Supplies:

Tools Required:

• 15 inches of 20G wire (1/2 hard wire is preferred.)
• Ten 1 1/2" gold-filled head pins
• Twelve six mm crystal beads
• Two commercial ear wire findings
• Twelve inches of 24G wire (optional for wrapping at selected locations.)

• Round Nose Pliers

• Flush Cutter

• Chain Nose or Bent Chain Nose Pliers (2)

• Any WigJig acrylic jig

• Nylon Jaw Pliers (preferred but not required)

• Step Jaw Pliers (preferred but not required)

• 8 metal pegs

• 30 minutes of free time

Jewelry Skills Required:

• Use of a WigJig to make jewelry components.

• Ability to open and close loops to connect jewelry making components. 

• Ability to make an earring by connecting an ear wire finding to wire components made on the WigJig/

• Ability to make a bead dangle using beads and head-pins. 

• Ability to make jewelry wire components that include beads within the component.
