| Step 5: Complete making the Flemish Spiral wire component by cutting the excess wire and closing the final loop. When completed, this jewelry wire component will appear as shown at right. |
|
| Step 6: At this point we begin to connect the wire component, chain and clasp into a bracelet. Cut six segments of commercial chain each 1/4 inch long. Leave a seventh segment 2 1/2 inches long to be used as a guard chain. |
|
| Step 7: Using a
wrapped bead link made with your 22 gauge wire and a 6mm bead, connect a
segment of commercial chain to either end of the Flemish Spiral Wire
Component that we just completed.
Step 8: Using a wrapped bead link made with your 22 gauge wire and a 6mm bead, connect a segment of commercial chain to either end of the commercial chain that we just connected to the Flemish Spiral in Step 7. Step 9: Using a wrapped bead link made with your 22 gauge wire and a 6mm bead, connect a segment of commercial chain to either end of the commercial chain that we just connected to the Flemish Spiral in Step 8. Step 10: Using a wrapped bead link made with your 22 gauge wire and a 6mm bead, connect one side of your clasp to either end of the commercial chain that we just connected to the Flemish Spiral in Step 9. Before wrapping these links closed add one end of your 2 1/2 inch long guard chain to either end of the bracelet. (The guard chain is strongly recommended if you use a magnetic clasp on the bracelet as in the bracelet pictured above. With a lobster clasp, the guard chain is not required.) Then wrap the bead link closed. This completes this jewelry making project. |
