Alternative Design Continued:

Step 1:  Cut five pieces of 18 gauge wire, each three inches long. 

Step 2:  Make a loop in one end of each of the five wire segments.  If you have Fine Step Jaw Pliers, use the first step in the pliers to make this initial loop.  (Use the end of the wire with the flush cut for making the initial loop.  If you don't understand this statement, review the information on this web page.)

Step 3:  Straighten each of the five wire segments by holding the loop and pulling the wire through the jaws of nylon jaw pliers or through a leather pad.  Instructions on straightening wire can be found here.

Step 4:  Place the initial loop on peg 1, remove pegs 3 and 4 from your jig.  Wrap the wire around peg two as shown at right.
