| The WigJig jewelry component that we use for this bracelet is called a Flemish Spiral. I don't know why is it called this, as it doesn't look like a spiral; but my mother called it by that name and I can't argue with her. The peg patterns for square pattern jigs is shown at right. | This jewelry wire component is made by making a loop in a piece of 18G wire (preferably 1/2 hard wire) about 4 inches long using your round nose pliers. After straightening this piece of wire, place the initial loop over the first regular peg (smaller pegs shown in these pictures) on your jig. Wrap the wire around the pegs in turn. Remove from the jig and cut the wire tail off. Close the final loop you just made and the piece should appear as shown below. |
