The small 5 pointed star is made using the same steps as the larger version discussed in page 2, only the peg pattern is different.  (If you need to view these steps please visit page 2.)  The peg pattern for this piece is shown below.

This particular Small 5 Pointed Star is made with 20G Orchid Artistic Wire and 26G Gold Artistic Wire for wrapping the segments together.  The wraps shown at left were added to the star after it was removed from the jig, then it was placed back on the jig for this picture.

This piece can be made into earrings and will appear as shown at left.

I made the ear wire for this earring and used a coil of 22 G Orchid Artistic Wire to decorate the ear wire.  The coil was made using the Twist-N-Curl Mini set.  When I make an ear wire I like to add a unique feature like this coil so that the ear wire looks like it was custom made.
