There are three wire components that go into making these earrings.
These components shall be called the V shaped wire component, the W shaped
wire component and the Modified Figure 8 component. The WigJig
Delphi was used to make the components shown. On page 9, the peg
pattern for the WigJig Cyclops or Electra is provided. The peg pattern for the
Delphi for the V shaped and W shaped wire components is shown at right.
In making these earrings, first we will first make the V shaped wire
component, then the W shaped wire component and finally the Modified
Figure 8 component. |

Step 1: Cut and straighten a piece of 20 gauge jewelry wire 4 3/4 to
5 inches long. 1/2 hard wire works better for this project if it is
available. Step 2: Make a loop in one end of the wire. Use your Fine Step Jaw Pliers if you have them, if not, use round nose pliers. Step 3: Position four metal pegs on your jig as shown at right and place the loop you just made over the lower, right peg. |
|
| Step 4: Given that you now know where these peg go, it is easier to continue by removing the third and fourth pegs (furthest right) as they can be in the way. Make a loop around the second peg with your wire as shown at right. |
