Twisted Cross Wire and Beads Pendants and Earrings Jewelry Making Projects made with WigJig tools and jewelry supplies.

The earrings shown at left were made using this pattern.  This cross was finished by adding a pearl bead dangle to the bottom, hanging on a head pin.  The bead dangle serves two purposes.  First, it adds decorative appeal and style to these earrings and second and perhaps more important, it adds weight.  Without the added weight of the bead dangle, this cross would probably be too light for earrings.  The earrings would probably fall off unless a locking style of ear wire were used.

The peg pattern used on the WigJig Delphi to make this cross is as shown at left.  These pegs are positioned on the diagonal of the Delphi so that we can make the pattern as small and delicate as possible.  If they were positioned up and down instead of on the diagonal, it would make a larger finished cross.  I added small white circles to this figure so that the empty holes in the Delphi around the pegs would stand out.  The peg numbering is the same as used for the Cyclops and the steps to make the piece are identical.

This WigJig jewelry making project is provided as part of WigJig University - College of Jewelry Making Designs.  We try to provide interesting jewelry making projects using beads, jewelry wire and other jewelry supplies.  We hope that these pictures will provide you enough information for you to complete this project.  Some of the skills and jewelry making techniques used have not been fully discussed here.  For beginners, we suggest that you start with a visit to our Beginners Jewelry Making pages. These pages discuss the skills necessary for making jewelry in the detail that beginners need. We also suggest that beginners to jewelry making might need to visit the WigJig University College of Jewelry Making Techniques for additional information about some of the skills and techniques shown.

Most, but not all of the jewelry supplies shown here can be purchased in our WigJig store.  We try to have a complete selection of jewelry supplies in our store including chain, wire, glass beads, findings, watches, tools, etc.

The jewelry making projects shown here do not use Sterling Silver.  The reason for this is simple, it is harder to get good pictures of Sterling Silver wire components than with colored wire including gold-filled, copper, or brass wire.  Any project shown in colored wire can be made in Sterling Silver wire.
