3 Stars Jewelry Wire Necklace & Earrings Jewelry Making Project -- Page 1

In this jewelry making project, we will make three components out of jewelry wire that will be combined with strands of beads to make a necklace.  This is an intermediate jewelry making project.  The pattern for these wire components uses our WigJig Cyclops and requires up to 18 regular metal pegs.  For those of our readers who only have our WigJig Cyclops, you may need to purchase additional metal pegs because the Cyclops only comes with 10 metal pegs.  If you have our WigJig Cyclops and also have our WigJig Delphi, you will have plenty of metal pegs as the Delphi comes with 20 metal pegs. 

There are three wire components that must be made to make the necklace shown at right.  For the purposes of these instructions we will call them the Top Wire Component, the Middle Wire Component and the Bottom Wire Component.  The Bottom Wire Component is also used to make the earrings that accessorize this necklace.  Please select here to view a large picture of this necklace/earrings combination. 

The three "star" like wire components are made in three different sizes.  This adds the design feature of scaling to this necklace.

Skills Required:

• Ability to cut wire with with a flush cutter.
• Ability to straighten wire with nylon jaw pliers.
• Ability to make a "P" Loop in wire.
• Ability to use a WigJig tool to make wire components.
