Diogenes was the Greek philosopher who walked the
streets of Greek cities using a lantern to
search for an honest man. The body of the earrings shown at
right reminds me of a lantern and for this reason I have named them
Diogenes Earrings.
This is an intermediate jewelry making project
and is probably not suitable for beginners. When you begin this
project, plan on making the wire component that is the body of these
earrings at least three times out of practice wire that you will
ultimately discard. After practicing this design a few times you
will find that it is relatively easy to make a consistent piece. |
