| There are five jewelry techniques that are involved
in making these earrings. The first is to make the basic wire
component by wrapping 20 gauge wire around pegs on the jig. The
second technique is to use a chasing hammer and anvil to harden the
piece. The third technique is to use chain nose pliers to bend and
shape the wire. The fourth technique is to wrap the 20G wire
around itself to make the basic wire component into a stable piece.
The final jewelry technique is to use very fine wire (24 or 26
gauge) to wrap around the 20G wire finishing the piece and setting the
shape in place. In this piece, we wrap wire around wire to fix the shape
instead of soldering. |
