One Piece Wire Chandelier Earrings with Beads Jewelry Making Project Page 1

These earrings are chandelier earrings with five bead dangles each. This jewelry making project is an advanced beginner's project. The earrings are relatively easy to make given a grasp of the basis skills like making wire components on a WigJig tool, making a loop and finally the skill for converting a conventional loop to an eye loop. This project uses a Figure 8 connector to connect between the ear wire and the earring body. A jump ring or split ring could have been used instead of the figure 8 connector if desired.

Jewelry Supplies:

11 inches of 20 gauge sterling silver, gold or gold-filled wire preferably 1/2 hard.
Ten 1 1/2 inch head pins
Ten 6 mm beads
1 pair of commercial ear wire findings.

Tools Required:

Round Nose Pliers
Flush Cutter
Bent Chain Nose Pliers
Any WigJig (except Athena)
Nylon Jaw Pliers (recommended)
Fine Step Jaw Pliers (recommended)
20 minutes of free time

Jewelry Making Skills Required:

Use of a WigJig to make wire components.
Ability to make an eye loop out of a regular loop.
Ability to open and close loops.
Ability to bend wire.
Ability to make a Figure 8 connector.
Ability to make a bead dangle with beads and head pins.
