Ovals Jewelry Wire & Beads Earrings Jewelry Making Project -- Page 1

This jewelry making project uses our Super Pegs with one of our WigJig Jewelry Making Tools to make oval shaped earrings.  While the two earrings shown here seem to have a very different shape, the pattern is very similar and the steps involved in making the two earrings are essentially identical.  These are both beginners jewelry making projects and can be made on any of our WigJig tools.  Making these earrings requires a jig with two 1/4" Super Pegs to make the earrings on the left, or one 1/4" Super Peg and one 3/8" Super Peg to make the earrings on the right.  Because these earrings are very rounded, they work better when made with soft wire. 

The shape of the earrings on the left tends to work best with a combination of 4mm beads and 2x4mm bugle beads.  The shape of the earrings shown at right works will with many types of beads or it also works will with 7X18mm CZ pendants as shown here. 

Skills Required:

• Ability to make a loop in wire.
• Ability to cut wire with with a flush cutter.
• Ability to straighten wire with nylon jaw pliers.
• Ability to make a wrapped loop by wrapping wire around itself.
• Ability to use our WigJig tools and Super Pegs to make wire components.
