This project is excellent for beginners.  The earrings are easy to make, don't cost much, and can be completed relatively quickly.  If you don't like the name "Square" earrings, you can call them "Diamond" earrings as they hang on the diagonal of the square. 

   
Square Earrings with Beads

Jewelry Supplies:

• 8 inches of 20 gauge sterling silver, gold or gold-filled wire preferably 1/2 hard.
• Two 1 1/2 inch head pins
• Two 8 mm beads

Tools Required:

• Round Nose Pliers
• Flush Cutter
• Bent Chain Nose Pliers
• Any WigJig (except Athena)
• Nylon Jaw Pliers (recommended)
• Hammer (Optional)
• Anvil (Optional)
• Bent Closing Pliers (Optional)
• 20 minutes of free time

Jewelry Making Skills Required:

• Use of a WigJig to make wire components.
• Ability to manipulate wire by hand.
• Ability to make a bead dangle with beads and head pins..
